Wired Down Under

About Me

My husband, Andrew, and I live on fifty secluded acres on a property located a half hour from the country town of Gympie, Qld where we devote our time to breeding Hungaran Vizslas - both Wired and Smooth. We have imported five HWV's from Hungary, primarily from the wonderful Zoldmali Kennel of Zsofia Miczek .Our most recent boy International and Hungarian Champion Zoldmali Sereny, arrived from Hungary to join us in January and recently took out Best In Show in an All Breeds show in Biggenden.  This was truly a wonderful moment for us, and a first for the breed.

Apart from our Zoldmali progeny, we have a girl from the Furdohazi Kennel (Hungary) and a new girl from Hungary, about to come to Australia by way of the USA, from the Hejocsabai Kennel.  Charlee will be accompanied by a new "Smooth" Vizsla, American Ch.ElginCariad Miss American Pie  (Missy). They will arrive in quarantine early August.

Our purpose with the Wirehaired Vizslas is to help establish the breed here where the breed has only been recognised since 2007,and where good hunting dogs are in demand. We hope to ensure that the breed is expanded by using exceptional and different bloodlines in order to produce happy, healthy dogs. Good health and an excellent temperament are of foremost importance to us in our breeding programme. We propose to set standards of excellence that will ensure the breed is enhanced, and that our Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas are sought after in and out of Australia.

On 11/7 Furdohazi Viki and Zoldmali Sereny presented us with 9 new babies - 6 girls and 3 boys. We are delighted with Sereny's first Australian litter.
